On Tuesday, September 22, the Netherlands Division Final of the 10th China (Shenzhen) Innovation & Entrepreneurship International Competition will take place. The format offers ambitious startup and scale-up founders the opportunity to connect with the extensive technology, investment and industrial resources of the Shenzhen and the Guangdong–Hong Kong–Macao Greater Bay Area (GBA). The event will be held at the startup hub Titaan in The Hague.
Competition program
The program consists of two sessions. In the morning, 21 startups will each give an elevator pitch, followed by questions from the jury. Fourteen of the 21 ventures will have the opportunity to win a place in the next rounds of the competition in Shenzhen later this year, with all relevant expenses fully covered.
The six startups with the highest scores will move on to the afternoon session, where they can also win cash prizes. These six will participate in ‘Get in the Ring’, a concept developed by Unknown Group. In three rounds of 20 minutes each, the startups will compete against each other in the ‘boxing ring’. Ultimately, there will be one first-prize winner, two second-prize winners and three third-prize winners.

Building bridges
The Division Final in the Netherlands is organized by Frank & the Backs. For some time now, Frank & the Backs has been building bridges between the Dutch and Chinese innovation ecosystems, helping Dutch ventures access opportunities in China while simultaneously supporting Chinese companies entering the Dutch and EU markets. Last year, the Frank & the Backs China Hub was officially opened in Shanghai.
