It’s been a busy and inspiring few weeks at Frank & the Backs, filled with events, workshops and even an international pitching competition!
Therefore, below we shared a short recap of the recent updates.
In June, we organized the Netherlands Chapter Finals of the WeStart TOP100 Competition – part of the Startup Shanghai International Innovation and Entrepreneurship Competition. Ten promising ventures pitched their innovations to an expert jury. Congratulations to BioSweetworks and XiniX AI, who earned their place in the global finals in Shanghai, China!
We facilitated an event for start-up founders, initiated by ATNA Marketing Agency, one of our VentureNetwork members. During the event, founders gained valuable insights into doing business in the Dutch market, as well as practical advice on becoming investor-ready.
Our annual BacksMeeting took place at SECRID, our neighbours on the Saturnusstraat in The Hague. Operational activities, challenges and ideas for the future were shared and discussed with the Backs present. Afterwards René van Geer, co-founder and CEO of Secrid, shared his inspiring entrepreneurial journey about a product many of us carry with us every day.
During our latest BackTalk in May, business experts from Innovias and Vincer fiscaal adviseurs B.V. shared their insights on funding and subsidies for innovative ventures in the Netherlands. An interesting BackTalk with a full house!
Again, a new group of ventures joined our bi-monthly Market Entry Plan workshop, where we offer support to our ventures in entering the Dutch and EU markets more easily.
