Breedi is a genomic selection platform aiming to change the agricultural sector. How it plans to do so? It makes precise evaluations based on an animal’s DNA, which allows you to predict their productivity, health, longevity and fertility, making livestock production more sustainable.
Breedi’s accomplishments
Let’s take a look at what Breedi accomplished in the past few months through the Next Valley program and with the support of our Backs Egbert Ottevanger and Albert Groenewoud.
- It established new lead contacts at IPAG in San Diego, ICAR in Toledo, ISAG in Cape Town, EAAP in Lyon and finally, at the Animal AgTech Summit in Amsterdam.
- This resulted in hundreds of leads from literally all over the world.
- It established a business partnership with Eurofins.
- And fun fact: Daria Iakovishina, cofounder of Breedi, was also selected as a female role model for a campaign promoting gender equality. You might have even spotted her on a billboard in Amsterdam or The Hague.
A year ago, at the start of the Next Valley program, Daria Iakovishina, cofounder of Breedi, expressed what she hoped to get out of it: ‘To establish a global network by meeting with new business contacts in different countries.’ It is great to see that this in fact materialized for Breedi!
